Colleen Harvey, whose doll made from my Treasures of the Deep pattern won the prize for Most Humorous Doll in the 2012 Hoffman Challenge, sent me some fantastic pictures of her doll and other prize winners on display at the Rocky Mountain Quilt Festival as part of Hoffman's travelling exhibit.
In this next shot you can see more of the prize winners on display.
From far right, Sondra Dunn Hahoney's doll, Patti La Valley's doll, Colleen Harvey's doll in the centre and Marie Carter's doll to the right. In the front row from the left you can see Dallas Sills two dolls, Deanna Hogans doll, and finally Hoopie Wanamaker's doll.
Best of all, Colleen sent me a little present in the post - the show catalogue which provided another surprise. Colleen's doll entitled "Surprise" was on the cover!
How cool is that?
Thinking of taking part in Hoffman's 2013 challenge?
Hoffman has revealed the Hoffman challenge fabric for 2013, called Peacock. Click the link to see what it looks like.
If you are thinking of entering next year's challenge and want to do what Colleen Harvey and Karen Mallory did, you may use any of my patterns, including my online class designs to enter the Hoffman challenge. All I ask is that you give me credit for design on the entry form.
And maybe you could send me pictures of your finished doll. And that way, I can brag about you. I like bragging about talented people. As you can tell.
