Sharon Matthews, who won the Best Overall Doll Made by a Beginner in the Re-Imagine History Challenge that I hosted, used my Treasures of the Deep pattern that she won as part of her prize to make this silver-screen inspired doll - Sylvia.
Isn't this starlet glam! I love the luxe fabrics that Sharon teamed with beading and bling. The way Sharon has draped the fabric really shows off the curvy body of this pattern.
But most of all I love the face that Sharon created. It just screams "I'm ready for my close-up Mr Deville". Sharon's facial shading is extremely effective and the hair really draws your attention to the face.
Sharon tells me that she will be displaying this doll in a big doll show in Hobart Tasmania next week. Whatever the judges think of this doll, I think it deserves an Oscar.
Thanks for sharing Sharon!
