If a mystery worthy of Columbo gets you all a flutter.
If you fancy yourself a Miss Marple in the making.
If you long to utter the words, "Elementary, Dear Watson".
Then you won't be able to resist my Mystery Pattern for only $3 US if you purchase before October 3rd, 2012.
What, you may ask, is a mystery pattern?
I asked the same question when my friend Romona King suggested that I release my next design as a mystery pattern. Apparently knitters and quilters have been doing mystery patterns for years, so Romona suggested I take a page from their mystery book.
Basically, for a greatly reduced price, you purchase a pattern that I've designed except that you won't have any idea what the finished doll will look like ahead of time. That's why it's a mystery.
Anyone who has joined in on the mystery will have the pattern "revealed" to them in staged sections over a period of weeks until all the mystery participants have a complete pattern.
Here's how much it costs:
Sign up before October 3rd, 2012 and pay only $3 USD - that's 75% off the printed paper pattern price.
Sign up after October 3rd but before November 3rd, 2012 and pay only $6 USD - that's 50% off the printed paper pattern price.
Here's some clues:
Although you won't know exactly what the pattern you are buying looks like ahead of time, here are some clues....
- The doll is a freestanding, female doll with a full body.
- The doll body is a great mannequin style doll that can be dressed in any costume you can imagine.
- The pattern will come with instructions for a full period costume.
- With a few simple tweaks the doll can be made into an exciting holiday decoration, but she can equally be made and enjoyed in any and every season.
Is your curiosity piqued? Are you dying to make like Angela Lansbury and blow this mystery wide open?

A word of warning: this low price won't last long. Once the mystery doll is revealed on November 3rd, the price of the pattern will go up to $10 USD for a PDF pattern and $12 USD for the printed paper pattern. What are you waiting for?

FABULOUS (!) idea and one that I cannot pass up!!! I will be making my first mystery doll! Awesome, love your work!!!

I'm in. Because I need a new project like I need a hole in the head. I still need to finish my other doll! Only a couple of steps left!
