Sometimes when I design something, it just comes. I find that is especially true when I've been thinking about a design for a long time. This Snowflake Sprite was in my head for years and when she finally came through my fingers it was just so easy. Sigh. I love it when that happens.
She turned out just the way she looked in my head.
I think she'll be a perfect Christmas decoration, maybe a Christmas tree-topper.
However, my dad saw something else in her. Something that I didn't see until he mentioned it and then it became so clear - with this one design I can make two distinctly different dolls. I am going to make Dad's suggestion next, so stayed tuned for that version of this little sprite.
Even though I have no room whatsoever in my teeny tiny flat to store more paper patterns, this doll is just begging to be made into a two-in-one paper pattern, with two different doll designs in one. Guess some of my clothes will have to go - there's nothing else for it.

She is amazing. I love that when I see your dolls your have taken a basic idea and gone to the next level. I can not wait for your Dad's idea.

Is the alternative an indian goddess? 'Cause I'm seeing a lot of arms here... Kendra

What an adorable doll! Hmm, she almost looks like one of those Hindu goddesses with multiple arms if she were done in reds and oranges - oh and of course with multiple hands too. :-)
