Thank you Cloth Doll Muse for sending me the idea for Finders Keepers - a little imp who steals human being stuff. She fills her pockets with buttons and coins and errant earrings. She clutches the things she steals in her tail or props them up on her back. She is full of mischief but she looks so innocent peering out from her bonnet.
And the best part Dear Muse, is that the body shape built by wrapping the wire armature with batting makes this doll perfect for teaching in-person. Not only does this design allow me to teach my face drawing style, but also allows me to teach body proportion, basic pattern alteration and the beginning of designing your own doll.
And that's not all the inspiration you whispered to me. You told me "Give her a practical purpose too, Colleen". And I did. She can be used as business card holder or a recipe card holder, or a holder of letters. This little imp is not just as cute as all get-out. She's useful too.
Thank you Muse. I owe you one.

she is adorable

She is adorable Colleen!! So cute and naughty and usefull AND she has a tail. I like things with tails! I love the idea of her "borrowing" things around the house. Maybe she is a distant cousin of my Sock Faries..... Sarah in Sweden

Oh Coleen, I love her! It's amazing how you captured a sweet face and a devilish look all at once. I can't wait until she is an online class or a pattern. Fabulous!!

Ah, the Fae...they just CANNOT resist shiny things! Beautiful baubles and anything that glints in the sun is treasure to be coveted and "borrowed". I have to disagree with you on one point, however. She is trying too hard to look innocent. Her mischievous nature just can't be hidden! Fabulous concept, and perfect execution! I am sure she will be an amazing class. I love how you make your dolls earn a living...lol. :o)

She is so wonderful! Her expression is priceless. Yes, she looks like she got away with something...but so cute...how could anyone be angry with a face like that? I have never seen her relatives but they must be the ones who take away eyeglasses glasses and hide pencils and pick up house keys. Congratulations on a beautiful doll!

Woo hooo... she is wonderful even though she is an imp. But such a cute one that anyone will forgive for being an imp.
