I don't really make rag dolls anymore myself, but I did when i was younger. Mum still has one I made when I was a teenager on the guest room bed. Rag dolls can be really therapeutic, I think. So here's a selection of free rag doll patterns to make your day:
Here is a sweet and simple rag doll pattern from Simplicity.
I love this super funky rag doll pattern from One Red Robin.
Here is simple rag doll with ideas for a couple of variations, including Amish folk and Gingerbread people.
Hereis rag doll snowman (cause Christmas is coming, yippeeeeee!). Heh hem. I think I've recovered myself. Back to business.
This is sweet rag doll pattern.
This rag doll looks like a great beginner doll.
ThisSilly Girl rag doll cracks me up. She is very raggy with lots of attitude from Crafty Carnival.
So that should keep you going for a while. Til next week...

Thank you for your encouragement in sewing dolls. Just like your mother has cherished the doll you made in high school others will cherish these dolls.

I love to make dolls, but haven't ventured into such detail. I hope to take a class next year, 2010. Perhaps with one of the Etsy dolls. You are very talented. Gwyn

I love dolls! I am just venturing into the world of making them. Have only made maybe one or two. But your blog is awesome, sweet, and very useful. Thanks so much for your help!
